Stupid Laws that you would change.
What stupid laws would you change.
For me, it would be shop opening hours. I am sick of finding supermarkets closed on bank holidays and Sundays.
any laws that disallow burning your mother in law or the ex-wife.

Well, just 3 nights ago the shop we live next door to was victim to an arson attack - someone broke into their shed, sprayed everything inside with something flammable and set the lot ablaze. Fire spread to their house, luckily no-one was injured, but now they have had to close the shop due to the damage. So for me, I'd like it to be legal to defend your property a la Ed Norton in American History X, i.e. if you find some scummy fucker breaking in, you are entitled to empty a Desert Eagle into their face.
Not that I'm an angry person or anything :)

Sundays 4pm close. And I think 11pm Sat.
Also some bank holidays.
I think if its your own shop then you may be able to open when you want.
Also this may be different in Scotland laws.

i'd change 2257 to not require id's for "secondary producers"
i'd abolish the patriot act
I'd have the BDSM laws clarified and relaxed. Currently if you (as a masochist) consent to heavy BDSM you're aiding and abetting assault, albeit on yourself

i'd change that part in the Road Traffic Act that sets out 70mph as the national speed limit.
If you do 70mph on the M25, your likely to have some interesting hand gestures directed at you :)
Oh, yeah, I'd do something about speed cameras and esp the mobile ones where the cop jumps out from the behind the bush....
make that punishable by cutting the hand that held the speed camera off. They'll soon learn....

Who said its legal? Its decrimanalized, meaning you wont get prosecuted for personal amounts now
I had this discussion with a policeman a few weeks back, it's not decriminalised, it's been downgraded from a class B to a class C. You can in theory still get knicked for possessing even small amounts, but in reality it's not usually worth the paperwork to try to prosecute (unless they want to throw the book at you anyway). There are still strict penalties for dealing.

Anal sex is now legal. I think it was made legal about 8 years ago.

I would reduce the speed limit in the residentional areas to 20 MPH and increase the age of owning a car to 21 years of age.

now that part is debateable. all depends what on you take the money for officially.
legally i am not allowed to work as photographer here, unless i am licenced, which includes training on the job for 3 to 4 years plus a nasty test.
the way around is simple, i charge for the work, not the photos. afterall, i have to do them up digitally (which already makes it work in the IT field and therefor falls under my official biz licence) and if you want them on paper, i charge you for the printing, not the photo.

you'd be surprised about the state it's in, they lack the money to do the repairs, a few miles of speeding are followed by a set of speed limits due to bad road.
