nice service, but they only do overviews or very detailed. the perfect solution would be a street map.

How many maps/areas are you looking for .. the OS (http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/) do maps at street level and are pretty functional .... no good for you?

what i need is a map of Hastings. my dearest daughter told me yesterday that she is going to present a project on Hastings, yet failed to inform me a tad earlier, like 2 weeks ago when we were there. i actually saw an awesome map there, a huge ass poster, which i considered getting her then. as usually i let my flabby grey cells rule over my gut feelings and rather got her some poxy jewellery. one day i shall listen to me guts, i hope - same shit when i drive somewhere i've never been before, usually decide against me feeling and end up taking the wrong turn.

anyway, the map should show Hastings street names. the map i saw was about 1 m by 1 m and looked like a huge comic, yet named all the places. it was in a fecking copyshop, so if i coudl find out the name i MIGHT get them to mail me the file (yeah, right)

my first plan was to have a map bought and sent it here, anything that could be on time is a min. of 30 quid, if i want to be sure it would be 45+, which i deem to high for just a school project.
so i wondered if anyone sold digital mapes. well, they do, on fucking CD/DVD, which in the end poses the same issue as having a print sent.

it escapes me why in times like these digital data is not available for download.

OS was my very first try, their services is a min. of 100 quid for data.

I have a collection of world maps - did you know that the Americans change it so that the USA is in the center - its quite a funny thing to look at - you know what it is though its just looks so wrong :-)

idjuts. the point of having the Atlantic in the middle is to avoid the blue patches showing the Pacific growing too large.

no idea, the only other map I have seen with this layout is the Japanese one though I was told it was done as a special - :-)
