I really REALLY wish that members of the public could appeal these decisions. This fucking loser ... gah... if I knew him, I'd walk round his house with a fucking crow bar and take it to his pathetic little skull. The fucking moron. How many people have snakes as pets and feed them mice is that so terrible, should they get nicked for it?
OK he took the rabbit from one area to another, so he should have been nicked for theft if anything.
What about all the people that pay to watch the aligators being fed, or is that ok cos whatever they are fed has already been killed.
It was just a fucking rabbit and to suggest someone should get a minimum of 3 years in prison for..., well he didn't actually kill it, manslaughter, no it must be rabbitslaughter, is rediculous.
The worst thing abut it is that the rabbit could have been used for a nice stew instead of just wasted, even the aligator didn't eat it, maybe it was a bit tough.

Most people feed snakes with dead baby mice.
But this was a rabbit that children visit. Its possable that a child saw it happen.
There is also the danger that you feed an alagator somthing that will harm him. He could have easily thrown in a broken bottle, which could have done major harm to the aligator.
But it also has to be noted that reasearch from the roal protection of children (or whatever it is) has found that people who are cruel to animals tend to treat humans the same way. Its why they are pushing for stroger sentances for people who harm animals.
In truth there is truth to this, as when my dad was in charge of remand centers, we found that those who abused children also abused animals.
Also this was a pet rabit. How would you feel if somone walked into your home, picked up your pet cat or dog, and throw it in front of a car for fun. You I am sure would be mad.

Its actually theft. He stole a rabit. Not only killing the rabit he could have harmed the aligater.
You also have to remember that aligators are fed in a certain way. If you start throwing or dangerling food as this idiet did, it could encourage the aligators to try to jump up at people.
I am not sure what the setup is, but normaly you can get faily close to aligators. But they are powerfull enough to lurch at a person.
So infucher, the same aligator may try to make a grab at a child thinking thats how its suposed to feed.
The fact thast the aligator simply killed the rabit rather than eat it, sugests the aligator was anoyed. Not a clever thing to do is anoy an aligator.

I'm soon to be buying a duck, I am going to let the kids name it and then we will be very nice to it and feed it all we can. This is because I plan on using it for a fuck off duck recipe.

I must say it is pretty bad that the rabbit died it could have had many years trying make up and shampoo.

Just because a Rabbit is used in some circumstances, as food, doesn't make it right to kill them for fun in a sick game. You know ... animals feel pain too... or did your common sense not kick in at any point during your thought processes?

Indeed... it wasn't eaten. But it was still killed in a cruel and sick way... for no reason. That Rabbit wasn't meant for stew OR the alligator ... it was meant to live til the end of it's natural life ... on it's own terms.

I think the punishment fits the crime really...3 years would have been excessive, and just a fine would have been too little.
