View Full Version : Official Response Steelever's policy on Porn Drama
Kelly Steele

My email account has been flooded in the last 24hrs with messages from various people. (Yes it was more than 2 people) As such I have personally decided to issue an "official statement" concerning my company and how I view porn drama/gossip. And since this forum is read by the majority of performers, I felt it would be the best place to publicize the information.
---------------------------------------------------
Steelever is the name of my production company.
1) We are in the business of shooting porn for profit.
IE: Make money and as much of it as possible.
Since time is money and porn drama wastes my time. It is in contradiction to the company's Number 1 priority.
2) We create an adult product that uses adult-actors and caters to the adult community. **I would casturate all child-pornographers**
IE: People that are over 21. and people that are mature.
Since today's society say's that children break things and are expensive. Getting involved in porn-drama is a contradiction of the company's Number 1 priority.
3) Being loyal to those that are professional and do their job without problems.
IE: Good people that show up on time and prepared. Shag whoever I tell them to, grab their cash and leave my set.
Since un-professional people show up late, complain about who they are working with and waste everyone's time and therefore money. It is again in contradiction to the company's Number 1 priority.
------------------
Now for me on a personal level:
Until I figure out how to make money on porn-drama/gossip...
A) I do NOT know "who said what." ***I'm was not listening!**
B) I do NOT care "who said what." **Do NOT bother to try telling me**
Unless it is NOT obvious. I'm here to make money.
As for my personal friendships...
Well who I choose to associate with is no one's concern and not open to discussion. IE: It has nothing to do with business.
Any questions?

It's actually targeted to a few individuals.
I know it reads like ancient egyptian but I didn't want to offend or point anyone out. My only concern was to get my point accross and I did.
How come you have time to post here?, don't you have enough housework to be getting on with?
Damn that moose must have been a big buck and streatched you out.
Because you have got to be one the biggest assholes I've met in a long time.
And you will never enjoy my cooking and I'm a damn good cook too.

Just out of interest what thread provoked this email flood whereby you were asked on your 'board drama' policy?

Well the spam from men is to be expected. I don't have a problem with that. If they have their teeth or not isn't really a concern of mine either. I make gonzo crap and to be honest toothless old men eating pussy would sell.
But on that note...
It was actually 3 seperate and unrelated issues. (Four if you include an email I got today from some girl's spouse)
In the porn industry there will always be some level of drama. But when you wear the "employer/producer/person with the money hat."
You get a lot of people afraid they will loose work. And all it takes is one person to say the wrong thing and suddenly my phone starts ringing with explanations/demands/tears/etc.
I was just like....
I need my phone and I need my email account back! Leave me alone!

You’ve had more drama in one week than I have had in 20 years in the business. This is better than the Walton’s and I can’t wait to see what happens next week.

Gonzo is not illegal. He was easily one of the most underrated muppets.

Honey,
The only drama I have had has been this episode of people with the phone calls and emails. My attitude is also great and not shit because I'm ready to film again. Gotta love that!!! Also don't forget, the squeeky wheel gets the oil.
As for publishing my phone number and email account....
Well one of the first rules of business is to make yourself available.
If you ever met Paul Fishbien...
The man is a character. The last time I saw him he had 3 cell phones because he wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything. And nobody will deny that his is one of the industry's big players.
And as for Gonzo...
I can film anything I want. The only problem I have to worry about is where I'm going to distribute it. The UK only has 400 stores and from what I understand, I've got to deal with film review boards. Most likely what will happen here is I will cut a "UK" version and dump the rest on other markets.

Maybe not such a good business move to hide you whois information then.

Please explain what your reply "Like its as dead as disco...."
which was addressed to me means ?
Or can someone else explain it to me :)
Joe, you're no bimbo (although you can live in hope), but you must be on the rag again :gaylords: That "dead as a disco" line was obviously referring to the distribution business, not you.
Having said that, it isn't difficult to take umbrage with most of what the boy racer posts.

I just remember seeing a documentary about gonzo being illegal and some of the stuff they filmed. And max hardcore was raided wasnt he. I guess it it the distribution though which might need the cut versions like you say.
Gonzo is just a style of filming where the cameraman takes an overt part in the action. Loads of UK porn like Ben Dover and Terry Stephens use this style.
Disco isn't dead, it rocks! :)

That's another thing that gets on my tits! All this shit clogging up the charts labelled 'R&B'. WTF? Who suddenly decided the shit churned out by Destiny's Child and their ilk is 'R&B'? To me R&B is like early Rolling Stones and stuff like that. The term seems to have been hijacked somewhat.
Fuck....I'm getting old....:banghead:
Jock
You've touched on my major love ...
As someone brought up in the 60's, and I saw the Stones live for the 1st time in Feb 64, in a small club in Belsize Park...
They and most of the other Caucasian groups copied their original style of music from Black Americans. Back then it was called R & B, that came from Black Americans :) There was a music paper called "Record Mirror" which had an R & B chart. The Beatles included Motown covers on their first album as did the Stones cover Chuck Berry and so on...
R & B is the sound of Black America, though today it seems to be labelled "Urban" more often.
Destiny's Child have more right to be called "R & B then any Caucasian band... Sorry to tell you. I started dj'ing in 67, only giving up in 95 in London clubs and I only played that type of music. I also produced the odd show or two on Radio London, as it was called in the 70s - 80's that were "R & B," even though it was called "Soul Music" by then.
I could go on to write the whole history of this music but that's enough :)

Personally music isnt my bag, I love books...Maybe a bit obvious on that one though..
Music changes more than a sluts panties, one thing in one day and another in the next...Most of songs these days you can understand a word anyone says and the music is just "bump, bump,bump..." Or "yo ma nigga" Definitely not music in my ears..
Jock Strap
04-07-06, 02:33 PM
'R and B' just seems to have mutated like no other kind of music.
Jock it has...
Here's a quick breakdown..
Blues > Jazz > Rock & Roll/R & B. This changed to Soul in the eatly 60's. In the mid 70's with James Brown becoming really popular along came "Funk." Jazz musicians then got in to this and "Jazz Funk" was begat. Then in the mid 70's along came Rap, Disco... And on and on and on...
It all started with Black musicians not the Rolling Stones or any other Caucasians, though they can be thanked for making it popular by covering the original songs.
Caucasians started to cover R & B in the US in the mid 50's due to segregation. Elvis is one of the people who can be thanked for making black music popular amongst us, as many of his early recordings were written by R & R/R & B composers who had worked mainly with black musicians in the past...
Don't get me going as I can go on for ever on this subject... LOL

I've met with Terry already and we spoke briefly. The plan is to try and do one video for UK release and see what kind of numbers we get from it.
So I'll keep you posted.
