Looks like France is going to Force Itunes to alow others to use its softwear.

So that means cheaper music.

Heres my tip of the day.
Use Napster on there 'monthly charge' fee then do search for tunebite.

You can convert all napster/itunes songs to another format (essentially removing the protection) which enables you to play songs on any player.

This may sound like some form of "crack" but at present, its 100% legal.
