Depend on what you mean.

After all, there are zillions of people who have webpages, mainly free hosted.

Those with domains, then there will be lots (as many businesses have them).

If you just mean adult, then that will be much fewer but still a lot.

It does depend what you mean by a webmaster. There are many "Hobbyists" and I would NOT call them webmasters

I suppose the way to judge it is to ask who makes their living from it and I would say it's just a handful.

I make a living from it, but I'm sure it would be in the hundreds rather than the thousands :)

I reckon about 25,000 people in the uk have some kind of porn on the go online, what's that, 1 in 2,300 or so ::: to include webmasters, hobby types, free site types, everything and everyone from porn colossi making a good living to bedroom dabblers doing their little thing on the side.

25k? well, just a guess to be honest! if I knew 2,300 people of all ages, races and creeds resident in the uk, I would be gobsmacked if only one of them was making some sort of money, somehow, from porn. so 25k is a conservative estimate come to think of it!

Sounds a reasonable asumpstion.

I had a mate I use to hang around with, best mates for about a year in about 1991. He went to America on holliday about a year later, never seen him since

A couple of years ago I was doing some trades with a site called spunker.com got speaking to the bloke, turns out he was from England, we both ended up realising it was each other...... So thats two of us who grew up and both make our full time living from porn.

So I recon that isnt a bad guess, though I recon a bit conservative if you include hobbyists
