I made this site for free quickly for someone for free.

Last week was told they were consultanting a 'friend from the pub' and had paid him £200 to re design and launch their site. Seemed fair enough less hastle for me.

Anyhow took a look today to see the result of his work and this is what I was faced with -

Now Im not saying what they had of me is a world shaking site though this thing, oh please.........

ooo man, no way, that is poor. Top site looks proffesional, bottom site looks like a work of art from www.pizco.com or www.freewebs.com. JUST LOOK AT HIS SOURCE!!! mental

I really don't know if to laugh or cry, the fact they paid the guy makes me feel really sick inside, but if people are out there doing this for companies then hell there certainly is a future for me!

I hope you've set yor friend right and pinted out if anyone finds their site through a search engine that the navigation will be screwed up.

Jup it's the same as so called "web design companies" down here. They charge from $2k to $12k and then ontop of that is the domain+hosting+maintaince fees which most businesses also fork out for.

End result is a peice of crud that even with my lack lustre design skills, could have made a way better designed site. It amazes me what people will pay for these days.
