scanning sites for changes

i need to scan a website for changes on single pages, is there a simple script that would do this? basically something like TGP scripts are doing, when a gallery is changed, it alerts you, only this would need to scan one whole site on a daily basis.

i should add, i ain't planning anything sinister. our ISP has been taken over by a bigger company who are likely to change the TOS to our disadvantage. as they do not necessarily have to mail us but can modify their webpages accordingly, i'd like to keep up with those, so i can terminate our account as soon as the changes take place.

the script would be to keep me from having to check all pages thoroughly on a daily basis.
