These are all galleries submitted to TGPs using our content but promoting someone else's site. One of our affiliates kindly informs me whenever someone uses our stuff to submit to his site, but it happens a lot. Is there anything we can do about it or do we just have to grin & bear it?

The reason it is happening a lot is because you do not jump on them. You need to get on the case with them and DCMA them and cause as much problem as you can for them they will move on.

I'd DCMA their host, program they are pushing instead so that they have to deal with the shonky affiliate and if none of that works I keep going higher up the food chain.

I think its that people seem to post your stuff free all over. I know some may be promotion from yourselves, but I think people think its free to use.

I would sugest that you put your web name on everything, as it will be too much hassel to crop the name out, or even if they do use your stuff, they are still promoting your site (if it has your web name on the pics).

But as somone has said, for some reason your stuff seems to be flowing around the net like water. Even very well known sites do not seem to have as much conent going around.

I am not sure if somone is joining, then just posts the content of your sites free all over.

In fact, two weeks ago, I was at a family party. My cousins boyfriend was telling me that he downloaded a ton of stuff on a site a while back from in bed with faith. I asked him what site, but he was at his mates (as my cousin would cut his ding dong of if she found him looking at porn).

I guess this is why I have never wanted to do a solo girl site, because if somone posts the content of the girl, then people do not need to join. But if you have tons of girls on a site, then even if some of the content is posted, what the heck, its free promotion.

Beat this for stealing. One Indian pay site stole over 500 of my pics to use on galleries to sell theirs. How did I know ? Every pic had my sites spam on it... Now that is dumb... LOL. They ended up being closed for two weeks over Xmas/New year 2003/4 till I was satisfied they'd removed all my material.

You send the offending affiliate the DMCA and send copies to abuse or what ever at all the sites the guy promotes. I can promise you they will close his acct. immediately.

Also copies to the offenders host and name the hosts upstream provider. I do this now as the odd one or two hosts do fuck all. When you complain to their provider... Magic happens and action is taken...

The more people who are named and receive copies of the DMCA the more the thief will shit himself...

I had it happen to me a few times, I contacted the sponsor and made sure their affiliate account was shut down and the content got removed.

Although once a guy said MY content was in the public domain and threatened to come after me if I contacted any more sponsors!!! gah

with SterlingCash being active on a single board mainly for the first months (year?) and that board being known to be a melting pot of newbs and scammers mainly, it's safe to assume the share of stealing assholes amongst your affiliates is rather high.

and newbs are still told to just snatch content, as i had to find out when sorting out GFY member's site.
