opinions on gallery design

Im trying to combine the old fashioned feel with new content. You know, post war with a modern girl, So have done a sepia type gallery, but want to know whether the thumbs should be in sepia, Ive pretty much decided that the large pics will be in coulour, so just need to decide whether the thumbs should be in sepia or colour.

Two examples below, one thumbs in colour one in a sepia type look.

Personally I prefer them in sepia, I'd also make the full size pics sepia as well

Sepia looks good but I bet colour thumbs will sell better.

Both look good, but tend to agree with JP about the colour.
Just my thoughts - Where the model is at the top, left - Try the same with the model giving more contrast - Either black and white, or more colourful to break up the sepia look - It may work a little better -
But, overall, a nice idea.

What I personaly would do is use the sepia thumbs, but have color roleovers... but then I haven't submited galleries in ages and I suspect that the javascript required would be banned by all and sundry

I like the sepia look but I think colour for the big pics, therefore I would go for colour thumbs as well.

Prefer the colour thumbs myself. Nice bit of colour contrast with the sepia here and there looks good.

I too suspect that the colour pics would sell better, but I think if ones going sepia, then go sepia for the thumbs too. ( tho colour for the main pics of course ).

I prefer the colour one, looks more inviting, but id be tempted to give the sepia look a go, as it does look good, just to see how it converted.

I'd say sepia thumbs as well. It just may pull more clicks when compared to colour as imo to surfers it would be something different then the other 100 galleries they've allready seen.
