Anytime Ive looked at sms or the like, it always seems that its only good for small payments and usually the portion of the payment the person actually gets is very small. I guess things may have changed

they are not premium SMS, they are a means of transport for the PIN. the user registers with them, giving their CC and/or bank details and receives a PIN for mobile use and web use each. in theory you should be able to charge whatever you like and not run into any limitations apart from their CC limit.
