basicly she gets on a train into leeds

stressed she says she went from the wrong place, then goes back to say where she came from and offered to pay the 10p difference

thich twats then say sorry, of to court

glad they lost the case. hope it cost them tons in court costs.

just shows, honesty is not the best policy.

Sounds like she was totally lying deliberately. You don't forget where you live. But what a stupid waste of time over 10p.

She had just moved and so used a different station, and so it sounds like she just automaticly said her old station.

And if she was lying, why would she go back to pay the 10p difference?

I still am writting the date 2005, rather than 2006, just out of habit.

To be honest, they should put a ticket maching in these stations or at very least in a local shop near by.

They loose money as they try to save monety by not employing people to sell tickets or colect tickets.

When I was a student nurse I got the train each day. Often you would not see a conductor. But at least it was cheap for me as i had a student rail pass.

But as i say they should put a machine in a local shop if they are wrorried about it being vandalised. often its not possible tyo get a ticket.

then when you get into leeds you have to be honest and say where you came from, though all you say is you came from morley (one of the most local stations to leeds) to pay the cheapest fair. Not that i did that as i had a pass so i could travel all over.

I knew a guy who used to make his own monthly rail passes in Photoshop & printed them out on an inkjet. Did it for a year & never got caught. Saved him about £1500 I think.

Its probably not hard to copy.

But a student pass is so cheap it was not worth the hassel to copy it.

But to be honest, I do not understand why trains are so expensive. You can get a plane ticket as cheap Leeds to London.

Surly it costs more for a plane (fuel, less travelers, pilots, staff).

You can get hundreds on a train, which is deasel (cheaper fuel), and have a min no of staff.

So what is the cost in running a train????

The silly thing is, is that it works out far cheaper to hire a car and fuel than it is to get a train.

Untill I got my car, I used to just hire a van to go to shoots. It cost way too much to go by train, nor mind it could take all day.

If I go to london, i do not bother with the car as its too much hassell, unless i leave it oin the outskirts of london and just jump on the underground. but if i can, i just get a coach, as its to mt more comfy than a train and i can at least get a seat.
