cannot connect to internet at home!

well i havent been able to connect to internet at home lately so ive had to come work from the office. ive had a few helpful suggestions to what i can do but wondered if there was anymore? i try to connect but cant and my ip addy is zero. my internet service provider cannot see a problem and i have tried another modem. i dont have a wireless connection. any thoughts?

if your ISP claims there is no problem, i assume you run DSL and the ISP manages to communicate with it. which is basically all they can do really from their end.

so the Q is, did you plug the modem into your PC? are the correct drivers installed? does the device manager report any problems? is the port you connect the modem to supported? is it connected to the mainboard? is it enabled in the BIOS?
