Looks like Sir Bob won.

Funny interview on I.T.V with the Ebay spokesman. The presenter asked him why they were allowing the tickets to live aid to be sold. The Ebay bloke said they have stopped it. That pretty much stopped the interview

He should have sold the tickets on ebay in the first place rather than text messaging.

In truth he should have sorted this concert out ages ago.

These are touts reselling the tickets. He has had no problem selling the tickets, the tickets are sold out. Why should he have paid ebay 5% when he can keep all the money and sell the concert out anyway?

I am sure they would have done it free.

At least it turned out ok.

Bobs a good man.. but hes wrong on this one... if I was ebay I would say the same

They offer a system for people to sell stuff, why should then get involved unless its child porn or something.. at the end of the day its all publicity for the gig!

I just think that gamberling by text message was a bit naff.

I wonder how many children have spent a lot of money to get the tickets.

Bob Geldof is a two bob musician who should be happy to have what he has and stop clinging on to the success he had with band aid. Band aid was not all his wor anyway but let hin have that. Now he should move on and stop trying to force his will on others.

that would depend on the ToS the buyer agreed to by purchasing the tickets. it they say it's disallowed to sell them on, as it is with most tickets for special events, eBay is aiding the violation of these ToS.

I get upset when people on other boards talk about him like he is a complete moron. He is flakey but he is a good man that has done far more for humanity than most of us combined. Man, I must be British now..lol

I watched bob Geldof the first time round, when he was in a debate with some MP on telly. The MP was trying to explain why they had to charge tax, all bob kept saying was, people are dying now. Give me the money. Great stuff. Nuff respect to BOB, plus I actually liked "I Dont Like Mondays" By the Boom town rats

I would have more respect if these people acted what they preached.

Its all very good to want everybody else to be socialists when you are sat on millions of pounds. If he was to give his cash away, then I would take him more seriously.

It wasnt. That was another time when he met her. This was a guy on Sunday morning TV. But the Maggie incident was a good moment to, but he was alot more polite, this guy he was ripping into.
