simple enough. why are you visiting and posting here instead of on the other adult webmaster boards? what's the attraction? do you frequent and post on many adult webmaster boards or just here? I joined 'Beer and Bollocks' primarily because of the uk angle, it's vBulletin which is nice and there's a few familiar faces (handles! - never met any of them...yet lol) making hay. I have been 'posting' on adultwebmasters.co.uk for 2 years and netpond more recently, been alot of fun, made some great contacts, got into and out of a load of heated arguments and enjoyed the experience. so what about you?

For me its just nice to post where other UK webmasters are. I will still post at other forums, but this has been added to my list. Plus Ive already had some business out of here

for me I stopped posting/lurking on Netpond when Voltar got the boot ... Richards board was good for a while but has gone downhill big time lately.
This seems as good a place as any to have bookmarked & see whats what.

I have never been much of a poster or even board visitor - I remember joining Lensman's board the day he opened it but just never got alone with all the false drama just to create sig views - I am hoping this board will be more for creating business than drama.
I visit this board now for a couple of reasons - 1) Uk angle (I am one of the longest serving uk webmasters and I know very few from round these parts) and 2) it is run by a couple of people I know - So trying to give them some support on their new venture.

The UK angle swings it for me - American boards tend to be, well, American. :)
There's a real buzz here, and the format's good too, so I reckon I'll stick around
ditto here - it's definately got a good buzz here and none of the moronic dramas that infest GFY
Yeah the UK Angle is a plus and hopefully in time hope to possibly start networking with other UK Webmasters. I tend to post on Ynot and made many friends on there so i guess I'll jump back and forth
Hey mOBSCENE me and wankmaster are driving down to Shrewsbury tomorrow to sink a few beers with Chief-monkey LoL i thinks its going to be a long night

I'm a Canadian webmaster and I'm looking for non-US sites to promote in the gay market. I'm not waiting to find out what's happening with 2257, I'm trying to diversify now. But I'm not having a lot of luck.

I'm here because I've met some good people who post here.

Dunno the ins & outs ... all i know is when i used netpond it was v different to what it is now ... had a main board, newbies board, tgp board and members board... flat boards not threaded ... Main board used to be the place to post, and Voltar did a superb job looking after/running newbs board ... v good indeed.

Lol, Have fun then!
cos half of our team (that's one) is of english origin and most contacts aside from sponsors are UK based.
and hopefully this board will keep a very european core.
I'm like Cardinal Sin I have been doing this webmaster malarky for a long time but have never been into the boards. I also joined GFY when it first started and probably visited it half a dozen times, if that, and Iv'e not been back since.
I joined Netpond about 18 months ago think it's an excellent board and it helps a lot of people escpecially newbies. If anyone is new to the biz they could do a lot worse than joining Netpond.
I received an E-mail about B&B last week and just thought I would have a look, I also like the idea that it's primarily for UK webmasters and hopefully it will stay that way, keep the yanks out :p
Obviously the thought of winning beer got my interest up :guinness:
I have seen some good posts here and if it continues the way it began it should be a good board to visit.
I am now the member of two message boards BeerAndBollocks and Netpond, WOW! two boards :p
I'm here because I've met some good people who post here.

Yep me too been at this almost 9 years but never really post on any of the boards most of them are a waste of time. Richards was good in the early days but last 18 months gone rapidly downhill.
This board has some great potential the UK angle did it for me.
For me I'm here becuase
1) I want to enhance the amount of business we do with webmasters in the UK
2) The UK angle is fantastic :) I love the fact 90% of us are local
3) I need a new home after me and meat fell out at netpond!

For me it was probably the domain name.
I have been a wm for a few years and do this full time. I dont participate in any forums normaly, apart from ones where I'm selling my sites.
but "beer and bollocks" pretty much sums up the life of a UK webmaster. Check stats at 9am, do admin, then updates, then whatever, have a wank, then have a beer, deal with a bit more shit, check stats, then go to the pub..beer and bollocks....
That said, I have only been knocking about here for a couple of days and have found the forum to be very much what I thought it might be. Good bloody fun, and a far cry from
some pretentious forums and a good distance from the bollox that churns out at GFY.
Thanks for setting it up.
cheers
JB
i ended up here cos someone 'made' me sign up to board tracker. Saw this advertised on it..and here i am.
I like the fact that board is uk based..nice to have a 'local' feel for a change.
I also post at netpond, learned a lot over there.

got reffered by HF, that's good enough for me :)
spreading business is my main goal at boards, also friendship (quite the same thing)...
right, so now 2 folks blame me already, great :D
I'll explain why Im here and infact why we started the forum.
It was purely and simply we had no where a UK webmaster can go. OK I know we can all post and GFY, netpond etc etc. They are good forums for what they do. But people from the U.K need a forum of there own.
I tried to buy Richards forum, he wasnt interested, I spoke to a couple of other forum people, who were owned by UK webmasters and tried to get them to make their forums UK forums and would have supported them and pushed them no problem. But none could be persuaded.
Apart from the constant bucket name changing, Richards board had become unusable. So one night me and Jay was sitting there, complaining that we had no where to go and came up with the idea of doing one ourselves. I didnt want to as I thought I really didnt have the time. But after a few more visits to GFY and adultwebmasters, I knew we had to do it.
