Hey,

I met some of you guys at the meet up at the beginning of the year over in Central London with Epoch.

You probably won't remember but I was setting up a Webcam website at the time, and I'm happy to say that we've finally finished it.

The website is at the name of my username (I'm not allowed to post a URL yet)

You'll notice that we've got a bunch of 'profiles' up there, but we do have a few real girls.

But... the problem we have now is quite a big one:

WHERE ARE THE GIRLS!! :cheer:

We have a chicken and egg that I am guessing most webcam sites go through:

No girls = no boys to pay
No boys to pay = no money to pay the girls

So, I guess I'm really just after some advice on how to get it going. I am pretty much on my own on this and I don't have thousands of pounds to spend on marketing.

But if anyone has some ideas on how to jumpstart my website I would be very very grateful.

I guess the main thing is where to find the girls. How to advertise, or are there studios we can contact?

I am guessing then that with a few girls we can then get our affiliate programme up and running to get you guys to grab us some traffic.

Anyhow, ANY advice, or snippets of wisdom would be very gratefully appreciated.

Ben

As with any new business you need enough of a kitty to keep it running for a while without real income. Same if you are starting a restaurant or a magazine.

Where that comes in with cam site is you need to be able to pay some bonuses or flat rates or do a deal with a studio to get started.

Yes there are plenty of places to advertise for girls, but it is pointless if they come to your site and see no customers. They probably won't even sign up, let alone spend hours logged in.

At first you will have to allow split cam, even if you want to discourage or ban that later. No working camgirl is going to give up the income she has now from her regular site to try a new one.

And beware that the cam girls are very very nervous of new sites - are you going to fold without paying? This happens to them all the time so make sure your model signup pages look extremely professional and convincing; full details, all spelled out in a clear way, about terms and conditions, payments, rules, charge back policy, etc etc.

I'd suggest you browse some of the model forums so you know the sort of issues they face and so you can try to make good in those areas.
