I've actually considered getting cable and using my phone line as a back-up only. More expense but quite small on the scale of things I guess.

I get very twitchy when I can't get online. At the end of the day I can't do business if I don't have a connection, but as has been said I've never had any serious problems with Telewest and when you need it, their support is very good and thorough.

Its not. I had the phone in my house with broadband and worked from an office. I still have the office, but share it now. I work from home 99% of the time. I put a business line in that still works. Its my original personal line that had the adsl from the begining.

ahh they all crap ive had a lot of trouble with telewest too but i think that was down to the area tho cos my friends have had the same problem too. it is fast tho and cheep :)
