Mobile phone contracts

Just got this months bill, and noticed that I'm out of contract.

Phoned the cunts to see what the score is, and the only deal that was half tempting was on a 24 month contract.

Is that par for the course now? 24 months is a fucking long time.

Any suggestions for getting a good deal when out of contract?

18months and 24 seems the way they do it now. in fairness the phones are a fuck load better than they use to be and easily last. Depends if you want to endlessly change phones. I cant be arsed these days. Especially as no one phones me, I dont phone anyone and I dont answer the phone even if they do

Aye. They offered me some wanky Nokia as an upgrade and unlimited interweb usage ... I dont use my phone for email/internets and haven't used the last 2 new "upgrade" phones they sent me.

It's funny, I use the mobile more than ever - calls, email and web, where it used to be just calls - but also give less of a shit than ever.

I quite fancy a Nexus or something with Android next, but I'm finding it hard to care enough to go to the shops.
