Whats everyones favourite?

Need a solution for a new machine - dont want Norton ... anyone got some suggestions? :crown:

too cumbersome ... came pre-installed on a new laptop & caused loads of snags ... slowed the machine down a lot also - just didnt get on with it :sick:

Yes, same here + Firefox and have not had a single virus or spyware problem in ages despite checking galleries etc.

Use AVG its great free updates email scanner and its free!! i never use norton!!!

Did you see the group test on anti virus programs last week? AVG let through 56 virus problems during the test which all of the others managed to catch.

Also, my previous factotum was using AVG on the laptop I bought him last year and in under a week it caught everything bar flu. :)

Geezer.. I also have AVG Pro and I like getting the almost daily updates :)

I also use Zone Alarm, the free edition from www.zonelabs.com Webroots, Spysweeeper and finally Adaware.. I like to play safe... LOL

Yeah well all these cheapskates don't wanna spend a couple of quid :)

Yeah I also use Zone Alarm, I used to use Lockdown as well that would keep any out who was trying to scan your ports.
