Policy Change: "Adult"

With effect from close of business on the 15th February 2006 it will no longer be acceptable to use the Nochex service to process adult transactions and as a consequence all such Nochex accounts processing payments for adult related products/services will be suspended with effect from that date.

We would like to thank you for your business and we will aim to work with you over the next month whilst you obtain a replacement card processor.

No - Im gutted in a way but also over the bloody moon too I think I will be getting drunk tonight.

I think looking at whos left its mainly escorts and people doing post event billing.

depends how you shake it down.

In terms of revenue prob no more the 10%

In terms of overall accounts less then 5%

A lot of escorts used nochex when I was there though their main stay of business is still done on P2P tranx on Ebay. If ebay kicked them off they would face some serious issues as then they would be left to complete with World Pay and other companies that process cards on a global basis as apposed to local basis.

Shame this has happened. It was such an easy and quick payment system to use. I used it for memberships to my site, but it was great to use for webcam shows, as the customer could pay different amounts in, depending on how long they wanted, and the transaction was done in a couple of mins. Dont suppose i can hide the fact im dealing in adult, when the customer puts in the comments box, " cant wait to cum all over you, heres your payment for a hot sexy cam show". :) Time to find another dc payment processor.

i though Nochex stopped doing adult ages ago!

I do know though that Nochex is VERY popular amongst the dvd pirates

I took them down earlier this month by choice.. Paycom take Switch and Solo so why have Nochex for the same reason :)

Yes, within the next 60 days will have a solution for DC for adult all based from the UK - info@smithsmedia.co.uk.

If you have enough DC volume you will be issued with an IMA too :-)

You can get a merchant account with most highstreet banks to sell adult toys & goods ie Ann Summers style no problem, if you need one for that hit me up will give the contacts :)

Went to see my bank manager to fill in the form as soon as I had confirmation from nochex of their stance on toys. Problem is I was trading under my own name as a sole trader, and having 'Nochex' apear on peoples credit card statement was a bonus, so now I have to change my trading name.

Upgrade from a sole trader to a Ltd?

I will PM you a bank I have a good relationship with in the UK, if you want to talk with them will put you in touch over email. If you already have some clients and doing sales you will be a strong posistion to get a better package.

If you are shipping mail order goods you may want to think about shifting the liability.
