My dads test results...

I haven't been online / working as much as I probably should have been the past 2 months. One of the reasons was because they found a growth on my dads colon and it was pretty certain it was cancerous. We finally got the results back today and I am so relieved. It hasn't spread (They were worried about it spreading to his liver / lungs)

He's going in next week to have the affected part removed etc, so we're heading down to help out. He won't be able to drive for 6 weeks and my mum can't drive. Still we'll be working from there and just helping out a bit.

So its positive. Operable. Thank fuck for that!! :) (Sorry for duplicate posts across boards!!) xxxx

I had a similar ordeal with my mum waiting for results on a lump. It wasnt anything bad but its a really shite time not knowing.

Thanks everyone :) It is a huuuuuuge relief. We kinda knew he had colon cancer just before christmas but it was a case of whether it had spread to his liver or his lungs. He supposedly has had it for 2 years!! I told him on the phone this evening next time he doesn't feel well he's to get straight to the doctors.

He's still as sarcastic as usual though making jokes to me which is great :)
