Question for paysite owners

i am in the process of setting up my first paysite, i'm using Awiz paysite manager and it has the option for members to download a whole gallery as a Zip, is that a good idea? or is it better for members to have to work a bit to get all the pictures?

My thinking was, from a bandwidth point of view, its better to make the member work and display every picture if they really want them all rather than just quickly hitting download on the Zip file?

I wouldn't want to make it easier to get the whole site and cancel...a surfer who already knows how to do that, fine, they'll do it anyway...would not want to help anyone else cancel early...

I don't think paysite members are much interested in photos now anyway so if you are going to put photos in there you might as well zip them. From a bandwidth point of view both photos and photo zips are next to zero anyway.

I offer zips in my mebers areas, as SGS says I don't think it makes much differnece. It's photos that converts and video that retains, though that's slowly changing as more and more free video content is becoming available.

zipped downloads add another selling point , some people like to do this so they can build up their collections.

Thats what I was thinking? The days of making members work hard to retain are a long way past now. Give them what they want, as much as they want and make it easy to find.

Jup I agree go with the zips thingo. I've found that I just take a small cap of the models face and link it to the zip, makes life easier for everyone. If you're worried about BW issues, put a daily download allowance on members. But thats a whole different ball game.

I did think about adding zips but never bothered, I might add some, maybe a couple a week.
