A post on another thread (placing bet on who goes into big brother)
Has just remended me about the fuss made over the betting on Harry Rednapp going to Portsmouth as manager
Apparantly the FA are looking into betting activity at the time as some large amounts were bet on him leaving his job at Southampton and going to Portsmouth..
The FA were alerted by William Hill, the gambling chain
It struck me that William Hill and others were happy to take the money on a bet which the outcome will be known by at least one person and probably many others too. they then lose big time and hypocritically go crying to the authorities..
Should it not therefore be wrong to be able to gamble on something that a certain few can pass on info for certain gain..
I know the City of London is built on that principle but I also feel that that whole financial system is wrong too....
But thats another story...
I dont ever gamble by the way
