Dear Sir,
Regarding employing teachers with sex offences.
In truth I am surprised that anyone who has had any criminal record could be employed as a teacher. I was under the impreshion that if you had a criminal record then you would not get a job as a teacher.
I wonder what other types of criminals have been employed as teachers.
I am also surprised that only cautions were given to people who had clearly proved they had seeked out child porn, not only with a PC full of such material but also by the use of there credit card.
A caution I thought was given to people who comited minor offenses such as drunk and disorderly, where clearly more logical than using up courts times on such matters. But I would presume that obtaining child porn was far more serious.
I also fail to understand the logic of allowing someone who has shown a clear interest in children to work as a gym teacher, where contact of naked children (Eg in the showers) is of ease.
