View Full Version : Fuck Me - Xmas Tree Prices!!!
No wonder Geezer has gone off early Xmas Tree rustling and roadside selling - have you see how much they are this year?
For a decent 5-6ft tree - over £50 or, for our european cousins, for a tree upto 2m c€60..
So a 3ft pot grown tree, which will give you years and years of fun, rapidly bought at £14.99 before misses could say anything about a larger 1..

xmas is pure commercialism - well done on avoiding at least part of the cost
I once saw some greenies on the TV talking about the waste produced from discarded Christmas trees and their advice was - "if you need to decorate something, decorate a pot plant" - good advice however I suspect I will be outnumbered in implementing the suggestion this year... :(

the best thing to do is buy a small one, put it in a good spot in the gardenb and let it gow.
then decarate it each year.
advantages being:
one off payment
no messy needels
its good for the environment
it makes your garden look nice
safe, no fear it falling over in the house
you can bew smug and look down on everyone who gets cut trees
it saves you a lot of messing about
dissadvantages:
none

by the way apparently russia has the best trees.
apparently the growers collect the seends but throw down infirer british seends so if people try to steal the seeds they get rubbish.

Somone 3 doors away from me has some lights up in there window.
I am tempted to ask them to take them down as its rather common.

our tree cost £29.99, and comes out the loft every year, no needles to hoover up, and looks as fresh as the day we got it.

We paid £30 for an artificial 4 ft tree at B&Q. At least then it is a one off payout. A live one with two dogs would be too much of a pain in the ass (and feet most likely after the were done with it).
