This has been our worst week for the last couple of years had some great traffic even had one of the Hun which did absolutley shit. First week of the month was great just seems to have died a death since.

This is probably a stupid question. But how can you blame your payment processor for bad sales

fishy fanny
you promised not to tell anyone
Xcite
I thought you were an expert on everything !!!
There's obviously some stuff you don't know and I ain't gonna teach or tell you about why this happens. I can tell you that one or two processors use me as a beta tester for certain tweaks they make to their algorithms :) This can cause a loss or increase of sales and as I'm someone that if shit happens.. It happens to me.. I get the lousy job :)
So believe it or not there are also sales trends... Anyone who says there isn't knows sweet fuck all !!! When I hear from major players that sales are down that says enough to realise that it's a trend.. Not just that a particular site has just stopped selling :)
I have four totally different Indian sites and if all are quiet at the same time then it has to be a trend as they all have good se relevant positions.. And traffic isn't down..

Bet they are back now?
Ours are on fire today :eyebrows:

Weird? You don't often get swings in sales like that do you?

Actually the middle part of the month is usually my worse months, with my sites and mu sponors, but January last month was good, this year is down, but we will see at the end of the month if there is any real difference

Thats very strange. We don't usually see very big swings as we have a very diverse traffic range and would be quite worried if we saw swings that were noticable over a period of weeks.

you can blame them for scrubbing too hard (which is an attempt to control fraud)...seems everyone on this board is only willing to use CCBill, so I guess that goes with the territory :)

Not true. Used to be the case at one point I will grant you but certainly not now. :)
Slaxxx
You have the insight/knowledge which Xcite obviously doesn't :)
But I would think that only CCbill gets mentioned as they are the most popular.. I'm sure Paycom acts the same :) I remember that I had one surfer make 5 attempts to sign up through CCBill getting rejected then he got through using Clear Card !! ??

You have to remember we dont all get the same amount of sales :) So if I see say a 30 sale a day swing either way then to me thats a big swing, where as for you it probably isnt.

I bet :)

There are always ups and downs but we look at trends on a month to month basis and we like to see growth. If the figures stay the same for any reason we always look at the reasons for this.

Who's that in your sig JT?
Who's that in your sig JT?
LMAO!
I was one second ago talking about that! I didnt even know I had changed my sig. I did it by mistake, when trying to fix a sig on another forum :lmao2:
What I've seen so far this month over all my sites, is a swing to Paycom and Clear Card.. God knows why. The prob with these two is their stats suck to pieces...
To know exactly how many active members I have at Paycom I have to ask them on the phone or by email. Their programme doesn't show the 30 day etc. one off no re-bill sales, only re-billing members :( Clear Card do show active and other info but it's all over the place... Maybe that's why we all relate to CCBill.. It's easy to see everything on the one page when we log in...

The joys of having a third party stats/affiliate/cascading solution :)
Paycom are easily as good as CCBill (dare i say better) but there own stats do suck.

Up until Sunday 15th, January was looking like being my best month ever (for about the 4th month in a row) but yesterday things just died across the board (whatever programme, niche, sponsor, processor). In fact Sunday 15th of January is going in my spreadsheet as Black Sunday... I hope things recover over the next few days!
Same here.... very black sunday.....
a good month then whammo - a brick wall of nothingness!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked my stats earlier..... my hosted galleries had over 100k hits yesterday.... and well over 100 sign up form hits which I'd expect to convert 20 odd percent....
Is something going on we should know about????
Apart from me no one else has said which processor they use :)
To look in to the prob, surely this would be helpful.. Is it only CCBill or all processors ?

Not seeing any issues here. Maybe your stats are just backed up?
My only processor is ccBill

What really pissed me off is my biggest sponsor. I needed one sale yesterday to make it over my min payout - no sales so I missed my $2000 payout for the period by $7.60. I looked back and the last time I didn't make at least one sale or rebill in a day with them is about 4 months ago. Ah well, payout in two weeks will be a nice fat wire at least!

I have seen a ton of sales come through in the last couple of hours.... Are yesterday's sales creeping in? Makes my payout misery all the worse
CCBill is my only processor and (touch wood) we're still having a great month. I have noticed rather more denial e-mails than usual in the past week or so though.
Rosie
What reasons do you get on the denials.. I can see some surfers trying up to fives times... Most of the time they're trying it on. I also get some when CCBill don't work with a particular bank.. That's a prob of having surfers from the Eastern part of the world :) Being with the Bank of Paka Paka ain't always the best choice... LOL
Mainly I'm getting "Card Declined at PreAuth", followed by the not processing for their bank's bin and "Submitted too many times today". We always get four or five these a week, but since Xmas we've been getting half a dozen a day at least.
A few came through earlier that were all different people, but all around the same time of day. So either CCBill went through a manic scrubbing hour or they just sent all the mails out at once.
