erm not partically scotty, well put on a few posts here and there, but do tend to shoot an awful lot for middle shelf, top shelf, and web, if thats any help mate

pleased you like, erm as for how, well i hate lightboxes, maybe thats it..... or more likely i drink loads when i shoot.......lol

Without seeing some big pics I can't say for sure but it looks like you are using just one light source. Are you using a softbox or a brolly?

You should use at least two light sources, one for the main (modeling) and the second as a fill.

You mean us? We use 2 lights, at 45 (about) degrees :) but its a really small space :(

Although my older pictures were done with continuous lighting which was absolutely awful lol.

Space ain't a problem, as long as you get the ratio between main and fill you should be able to get some nice shots.

Try having the fill light a stop weaker than you have now, even try two stops, that should make it less flat.

The best thing to do is play around with settings until you find what you like, make a note of the setting and reproduce the same affect every time ;)

Ohhh the pictures nearer the bottom of my tour were taken when one of the flashheads blew up / started smoking so we did only have the 1 light. heheh :)

Thankfully they posted a new one out to us and we got it back this week.

thanks guys for the warm welcome .... well not quite over the boarder yet just in newcastle so still a few miles left to go yet. looks like i am back in sunny london, and birmingham next weekend for some shooting, i am sure i spend more time traveling that what i do shooting.
erm read the other post with p.m. in there i sort of got the impression the gent had rubbed a fe people up the wrong way, (lol..... maybe i am wrong)

now isn't that bloody typical, if i had said i lived in durham nobody would have known what the hell i was talking about then somebody goes and knows newcastle, i am actually just down the road in durham, great place to live and all very pretty, which is great in the summer for the outdoor shooting, sadly i think i might have to wait a bit before going outside my studio
