Petrol stations near you.

Are you finding many petrol stations closing near you?

I have seen in Leeds and Bradford at least 10 (probably more shut down).

Many seem to be now car cleaning firms.

Admittedly some close to new supermarket petrol stations have closed, but its amazing how many have,

A few months back I ran out of petrol because I went to a station that is no longer there.

Maybe there was too many stations close to each other, but now there seems much fewer. And to say cars are increasing in numbers.

i think the supermarkets have pushed the little guys out of business,i live in the country and you can go miles to find one of the few petrol stations still open.

If the Asian community of leeds who owned the petrol stations stopped charged 80p for a Mars bar and sticking as much on fuel as possible they may still be trading. - just my 2 cents worth

I think the problem is that there is no profit in petrol, so they make the cash on food.

I remember as a student working at the ABC.Cannon, MGM (its closed now), and they said the profit on films was nothing as most of the money goes back to the film makers, and so its just sweets that make the money. Also cimimas are forced to charge as much as they can as distributors tend to give the films to the ciminas that charge the most.

I tend to now go to the Asda petrol station. To be honest, I am not sure what they charge. Its just easy to get to.

I am a bit sad and love petrol sandwiches. The Esso in Leeds centre used to have some great ones. They were huge. I used to go there just for the sandwiches.

I love how your posts have maintained a quality threshold over the years.

Albeit one that is lower than Gary's respect for women, but you are at least consistent.

Thats because Leeds is full of immigrants that clean cars for a living.

It's because many of the wells underneath them dry up in summer

it's because of the oil cartel and the government.
