My X buisness parnter,
(with emphasis on the X)
Not that I hold any resentment of course...
*cough*-fuckin-cokehead-*cough*
Excuse me... Bad taste in my mouth...
Was contracted by a large usa video companey to take on
about 20 of their best lines (to turn into pay to view sites)
and also to create sites for some of the new projects that
they had in the pipeline...
Unsuprisingly, part of his job was to register the domains...
Anyway, while I cannot go into too much detail, one of the
new lines was to be **********WERE******.com
He registerd it all up OK, and let them know...
The companey proudly went ahead and created a huge
advertising and marketing campain, with thousasnds of
printed flyers, promos, banners, etc etc... all finished up
just in time for the BIG LAUNCH PARTY... At the AVN's !!!
They even had an entire booth at the show, dedicated to
this new line ... All was going well, until people started
asking them.... " OK so why dioes the URL lead to another
companeys site then ???"
They looked closer.. Guess what ?
Instead of
**********WERE******.com
he had actually registerd
**********WHERE******.com
Needless to say, the company were less than pleased,
and he kinda lost the contract... But there yajh go...
Suprised that he actuially made it back from vegas to LA
without getting 'lost' in the desert !
THATS ALL ! 100% TRUE STORY !!!
