new hard drive is running slow

I have added a new 160gb drive as a slave.

I have done this lots of times. I fill them up, then store them.

But this drive is running slow (read/write).

My main c: drive is fine.

Any sugestions. Is it the drive or have I formated it wrong?

is it a slower RPM disc than you normally buy ???
