if public trasport was free would you have a car?

in some parts of the usa the tube is free.

i was thinking if public trasport was free in the uk (busses, trains) would you bother with the car.

while the roads would befree of traffic i wonder if i would bother to drive if public transport was free. why bother with the hassell.

i would presume if it was free then they would be busses every 15 mabe 10 mins as everyone would use them and thus a bigger demand.

it must be nice being geezer as he gets a free bus pass these days.

No cos if it was free then it would be even fuller with pikeys and chavs.

If public transport was free it would be full of obnoxious old people, screaming kids, annoying teenagers, smelly old gits, chavs, thieves, and generally people that you really don't want to sit next to.

I would definitely start to use it sometimes but cost isn't really the issue. I think a weekly rider is only about £15 a week.

Public transport isn't convenient, it takes a lot longer, you have to walk to and from the bus, you can't go exactly where you want to go, they don't run 24 hours and its full of scum.

Making it free would be a very good way to reduce traffic on the roads.

No i would keep my car for convenience, while I would probably use public transport more it would not make me give up my car.
