Anyone else think this is a pain in the arse? Every email you now get from a ccbill sponsor comes from the email address "donotreply@ccbill.com" and not the sponsors address. You now have to open the fuckers to see who it's from ...lol
I have a load of message rules set up on my email client to move the emails on arrival into the appropriate sponsors folder ... now I'm screwed
When did and why did ccbill change this?
I do too. I got a ton more of them lately
Do you mean when we webmasters send an email to our affiliates via CCBill that happens ? If so, bugger it as I sent out an inportant email yesterday and I can bet 99% of my affiliates will just delete it now or it'll be in their spam folder for another 2 years... LOL

i tried sending an e-mail to all our affiliates through ccbill site and i got thousands of returned e-mails and a whole lot of shit on some boards for spamming e-mails to them
I should have kept all their e-mail addresses and spammed them again
Xcite...
I have had the returned email problem myself...
I look up all those who's email bounce and check their sites are still live. If they are toast, I then de-activate the acct. This means the next time you send an email out to all "Active" affiliates.. you receive less bounces :)
The funny thing is I don't get copies of my emails any more... LOL

I got one from a spnsor advertising a new site launch. They didn't even have the sense to put in their sig who it was from. The only way I will know is if I look at the sites listed in the email.
Maybe this is their marketing ploy but I haven't bothered my arse to look at it yet. I would rather know where the ail came from by reading the mail.
Just checked my spam folder as well, 22 donotreply@ccbill emails in there.
Scotty...
Good thing I mentioned the spam folder... LOL

Your message was delivered fine and ended in the inbox not the junk file. To be honest Joe it did however look like an email you get from their support to confirm you have an open ticket.
What I think is bad is when messages come through this way they are just big blocks of text. I only noticed it in the last couple of weeks, last message you sent joe came from your programme mail addy.
A better way to mail your affiliates maybe is via worldcast - you can then do them as HTML and lay them out better with working links - :)

Spoke with Webair yesterday - their mail server was down as it was clogged with spam, not sure if both are connected though it meant no email in or out. Some of my main stream customers were getting emails in massive blocks.
They fixed it about 3 yesterday and I have had no issues since - as say may not be linked though I know mots of us here use Webair so could be linked.

You can use html with ccbills system.
But this could be a pain if its spotted as spam and if sponsors cant get through there new galleries and free sites etc
Use a proper mail program to keep in touch with your affiliates. Using the CCBill mailer option would be pretty inefficient I would think.

This was a good few months ago
and it was a test as at that point we only had a few affiliates but it caused mayhem and i wouldnt touch it again
I suppose I'll have to download the mailing list and use my own email programme .. I have webmaster@sgd set up any way

I guess before you would have known it from the email. But still best to put in your email I would think. The sponsor must have been English :onguard:
