View Full Version : Adult Paysite Pricing.
Hi,
I just wondered how often you guys do a price increase on your sites (the established ones not new ones)?
After our first year in business we all would have had one years worth of content on our sites, but after 2-3-4-5-6-7 etc years, our sites content would be far greater.
So do you base your pricing structure on this or not? And if not why not?
Also a straw poll thingie majig. What's the most expensive site you run, price wise?
Interrogation over :crown:
I've never increased the price for either of my sites, maybe I should, but I tend to keep it at around the "average" for sites of it's genre and general prices haven't actually increased that much industry wise.
My most expensive site is Shadowslaves, $29.95
All mine are $29.95 per month recuring, no trials or $89.95 for 180 days.
If people dont want recuring then they have the option of 180 days. No trials ever.
I have never put my pricing up apart from when I first started with pay sites, about 5 years ago, I didnt have much content then. But hosting etc have all come down over the years, so that sort of counter balances the lack of price increases
We have always been at the top end of paysite pricing ($39.95 and $34.95) and I don’t believe our pricing has ever cost us a single sale.

Mines $29.95 too but when I started it was $14.95. I tended to increase it by say $5 each time instead of having such a huge increase in one go. I follow the flock really.
With one of our sites we started it at $12.95 a month and then started increasing it to $14.95 etc etc but that ones closed now. Affiliates just weren't gonna promote a site at $12.95 a month and the girl has retired now anyway :(

$34.95 too....... for all my sites...... Cant comment on whether its cost sales or not, I suspect it has a few..... but I look at it this way, it would cost me roughly the same to get sales at $29.95 or less so why bother???
Dont worry that your competition might be picking up sales from you becasue they're cheaper... it only leads to a downward pricing spiral... have confidence in your site but make sure that confidence comes out in your site tour!!!
