I don't care if it costs £5 if it's not free I ain't interested.

I have used SMF before and it's pretty good but I left it unattended for a while and it got spammed to fuck. I am also looking at yaBB so what do you reckon?

Yeah vbulletin is only £100 but this is something I don't want to spend much on...at the moment

I think I had captcha on the sign up before. I think they find forums and spam, if it gets through and stays up then they send the bots in.

I have a YaBB forum and a vbull forum. I'd never go free again. £100 saved now will cost more in the future if the forum goes well, belheef me mate.

ps YaBB is wank for SEO also, just seems the SEs hate it.

yeah, they did get through but since i added the "are you human" as well, i've not had one spam post or even spam joins.

If you don't stay on top of SMF updates, then people using xrummer will always spam the fuck out of free scripts like that.
