Wanted links to my site

Hiya

I run a provocative dating/sexual encounters website and im looking at increasing my pagerank and other things. And im looking for one way links to my website. Anyone got any ideas. i dont really want to go to a link farm website i was looking at paying for a permanent link to my site.

ive tried free ads and some directories but i want more.

I just thought I'd reply to your post and give you some friendly tips :)

I would strongly advise you to stay WELL CLEAR of link farms, link exchange and paid backlink sites. Doing so will NOT help your pagerank and MAY even BAN you from Google.

There are many reasons on why not to use these services, but here's a few:

- link farms are a network of lots of other websites. Some of these websites could be ones that have been banned by Google. Being associated with these sites will trigger Google to 'monitor' your website as it will be suspicious on whether you share the reasons why other sites got banned

- link exchange sites are a no no for the above reason

- link exchange sites are also not good as you want more incoming links than outgoing links on your site ie. you want more people linking to your site, than you link to others. Also because you want your links to be RELEVANT. Google is very specific and insistant on RELEVANT content. Sites that are of no relevance to your site/category will carry a very very low page rank weight for you

- one of the factors which determines your Google Page Rank is how many backlinks you have. Google thinks the more backlinks you have the more important your site must be, as people are sourcing your site. However Google does NOT COUNT paid links.

Google does not count paid links because it considers this 'unfair' and not 'genuine interest'. Having millions of paid backlinks will make NO difference to your Google Page Rank.
