I'm considering using some plugins on some of my sites to increase the rebill %. Has anyone used plugins and got any tips/recommendations?
I'm probably looking at somthing that charges by the bandwidth rather than a monthy fee based on members.

We took all of our plug-ins out and our retention actually went up. Best thing we ever did was to get rid of them actually and save ourselves several thousand dollors a month and a whole load of customer support issues.

That's interesting SGS, do you have any explanation for why it happened?

For the members that were even interested in plug-ins at all it was mostly authentication problems after windows updates (service pack 2 caused endless issues), endless problems with Mac users and even AOL users and auto updates with stuff like Norton Works/Security, which used to flood our customer support mailbox with monotonous regularity.

We also found that at peak times the plug-in servers used to come down to a crawl and the bible was updated more regularly than one particular feed that we used.

For us we found that the days of plug-ins passed and it was like a huge weight being lifted when we ditched the lot.

I think the problem with plug-ins is just that, everyone can just plug them in. So if a member joins your site and sees all the same plug-ins they have seen before they will feel ripped off.

AFAIK Zappu is working on something like that.

This is true HF, but it will take some more days before we finished it and can offer it, as it is more individual as all the other systems :)

Exactly - Most of all the larger programmes have only plug ins - And these are usually with a built in upsell.
As soon as your members see the same on your site, they natuarly assume your site is much the same as all the others he has joined.
Like SGS, I have found fewer problems and better retention without using plugins.

We'll have some cobranding options out before much longer that will make it appear as part of your own site.
If you want you could link in a frame to keep them on your subdomain...not sure what exactly you're asking? Forwarding domains is fine.

I cant recomend these guys enough. I always put cams on my sites, members like them. I have never made money from them before, but not only do my members get these great cams, the sales from them are great!

how often do you update the girls database? i was just fiddling with linking codes and stumbled across a real talent that i'd like to link to directly, but there is neitehr content nor is she listed under 'Choose a model' ? she appears to be rather new, if your categories can be trusted.

Database is updated constantly, we allow linking straight to their free chat or bio pages but I believe that the choose a model option only allows you to select models that have bio pages and are active in our system.

We do get a lot of model turnover, which makes it hard to get the free content up, normally only have high rez sets shot with solid earners that show up to work regularly.

The categories can definitely be trusted...I validated about a dozen new models yesterday so your girl might be in there now.

all i really need is the direct link to any specific model, is there some sort of original ID for each model?
