I watched it on Sky, when he was told the pension would be enormous he never bothered to ask how much exactly.
The whole thing looks like a bunch of fat pigs with their noses in the trough, while the village idiot fills it with your money.
As "an expert in pension funds" you would think he would ask how much it was and what were the alternatives. No they just dolled out your money. To me it looks like someone was getting back handers or Sir Fred Goodwin has information they did not him to reveal. There was no reason to give as much as they did, they doubled what he was legally entitled to.
