Never done one, never read one, never had any interest in one.

So convince me why I should do one, also tell me how often you update and do you make sales etc.

Also where and how is the best place to make such a beast

I was exactly same until I used the software HF recomended BLOG SOFTWARE (http://www.cheapestadultscripts.com/bo/index.php). Simple to use and even if you are a lazy fucker like me easy to run multible blogs.

Im making some nice sales of mine I think it will be a main focus for me next year.

I started a blog back in about 1924 and thoguth what a load of bollocks they are.

I gave up on that and then started another last year, I still think their a load of bollocks and now the world and his wife are doing them.

i use blogspot but choose to host them on my domains, easy control panel and ftp allows me to update multi blogs in seconds-ok so mine are more like fake tgp blogs with some extra text but they get the se and convert well for me.

and it sure as fuck helps to schedule posts for days/weeks/months/years ahead and having them reposted every s ooften, so in theory you could set up a never ending blog, cos only die hard readers will recognise an entry from last spring as reposted.

I use blogger.com too, hosted on my own domains of course. I wasn't sure whether it was worth it when I started, but they really are the best conversions I've had for ever. I post to them most days, mainly just updates and *bollocks

If you can convert better than our blog I would like to buy the idea off of you. :)

Blogging would be great if it wasn't for the fucking blog posts...I *HATE* writing them...its fun writing it like the first two weeks and making the design, then it's like "oh fuck this."

Ideally you'd update it daily, but that gets to be too much of a chore if you're managing more than one and you want your update to be something remotely coherent.

IMO it's best to stay away from FHG's and toplists...and keep them text-heavy with teaser pics and the occasional movie.

Yes they do work!

As mentioned we use Blogs Organiser. This is one of our new blogs http://bbw.bangblogs.com/ It's on the build and forget model. I built the blog. Filled it with 91 posts scheduled to post 1 a day, with 7 posts at a time being shown on the page, and set to repost after 91 days.

What you get is a constantly updated site for the SE spiders to eat. What it also does is "ping" the sites set in the ping list when a new post is posted. (If you don't know what ping is, it basically tells the sites that the blog has been updated, spiders get sent to grab the update/rss feed and it gets shown/listed which also gives backlinks for SEs to find to your new post etc etc)

It's just another way to get traffic and SE hits. Some methods aren't some people's thing and some are. I like blogs and portals. Others like galleries and free sites, or CJ and TGP :)

The thing with blogs is, you can get "pre-selling" off to a fine art. Galleries and stuff, you have one chance to grab the surfer - but blogs that get bookmarkers (or rss addicts) you get chance after chance to sell, and can try different angles on the same surfers every day. I've found that having a blog that promotes one particular paysite has worked pretty well, especially if it keeps the surfers up to date with exclusive snippets, teasers of members area updates, etc...

That's exactly what our two are. Then I set up some link trades and bought some traffic to it. Blows me away how much difference it's made to sales.

Very true - Blogs take some beating for marketing and will be around a very long time.

2 pasties, 4 swedes and a can of custard will do for the deposit - Then a gazillion euros weekly for the remainder of the millenium

This is your Master Plan you told me about earlier? Getting Geezer's dustbinmen to run your blog isn't a great idea.

I have just purchased a copy of BO and it was a piece of piss to set up but now I'm not sure. I take your word for it that it's the bollocks, maybe once I have played with it for a while I will say the same.
