please dont depress me! I'm still using a old panasonic camcorder I got for my 21st and it sucks!!! :(

Looks terrific bit of kit for serious film makers with a 24p and 30p film frame rate
but a camcorder you got for your 21st is still ok for most stuff shot for web ....at the moment...

but give it another year or so and we may need the better quality shooting onto mini tapes cant give

We still shoot on reasonably idiot proof camcorders. Next year we want a couple of those high res thingies..... I'm just scared of all the buttons :(

ah, imagine all the awesome pimples and zits and stretchmarks high res vids will reveal, hmmmmm, new niches coming up.

i read they have new make-up tricks in those TV productions that do for HDTV already, cos you can see virtually everything if you use standard make-up.

You're right I was toying with the idea of getting a new camcorder but I've decided instead of moaning about my old one I'm gonna actually use it as movies arent a strong point on my site at the moment hehe.

Sony now have a £1000 HD camcorder so no excuses SEE IT HERE (http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/home/)

Just by using HD for the last 8 months has given us a head start in having the HD content in stock.
We have Adult TV people knocking on our door to produce for them
so well worth the investment

That is 1 serious piece of kit... and looks like a bargain for the money...... I want 1, I want 1 as panasonic kit is some of the best around... very well engineered.....and with a leica quality lens on the end.....mmmmmmmmmmm
But will stick to canon XL for now, and see what they come out with.... which cant be long.....
