Jup crazy world mate, this week same thing happened sept it was with real bullets. Some nutter fired off some 20 odd bullets from a semi automatic rifle while kids were playing at a Catholic School. Police rekon it's prolly related to this race riot crap we've got going on atm.

yep, the country is going to the dogs fast. i made the decision to get out of it, for the sake of the kids. I think its only going to get worse. where im going, the youth still have respect for there elders, and the police.

Because they know they can.

Why are you shocked? They know that even if they are court nothing will happen. Lets face it they can steal cars, run you over and nothing will happen.

We know they are not the real criminals. No, its more important to catch drivers going a mile or two over the speed limit. Then we can give them points and big fines.

In truth I have lost interest these days. There was a time if I found someone breaking into my car I would have phoned the police, now to be honest I think I would just smack them in the face a few times with a base ball bat.

Sad fact but each generation of youth seems to be getting worse.

Blimey that's my old junior school. Can't say I'm entirely surprised, Maltby is a hellhole, always been a rough area. Best thing my parents ever did was move south.

Baghdad ??

cant find any girls willing to do photo shoots with me there. Moving to spanish soil, not the big resort places. When we were there last, my son saw a guy being arrested for fighting, along came the police, a quick whack with the trunchon, accidently knocked his head on the roof of the car, before being placed in it, drove away. My son said, oh god you wouldnt get in any trouble here. Instant respect. The police cant do a thing here, maybe they should arrest the parents, and charge them for what there children have done.

Dont blame you for getting out of this country but cant imagine living in Spain...to many of the worst kind of Brits there...

yes arrest parents, hit them with trunchons and on the car door on the way in... They will soon pass on respect for others to their kids

It used to be like that in this country, cause trouble expect trouble. Not any more.

Could move to America...we have an excellent track record for gun-related violence. :(

Nah its too easy to blame the parents...Ive got a 17 year old and a 14 year old..the older boy was a terror at school everything he could do wrong he did and I did everything in my power to make him behave short of giving him a good hiding.

The school told us we where the best and most concerned parents they had ever seen.

My younger daughter is a straight A student who wants to go into law. Both brought up exactly the same respect the law, elderly etc so how in that case is it the fault of the parents?

I asked him many times why he behaved as he did and the only reply I ever got was "because everbody does"

I agree there are a lot of bad parents out there, mine always used to wonder why his friends could stay out till 1 and 2 in the morning and he had to be in at 10.

Its much too easy to label every parent with a bad kid a bad parent.

Luckily he turned his self around and now has a job and goes in the army in a couple of months.

well i don't think kids are inherently bad *or* good...i think it's their environment, and a part of that is parents. so there are many reasons why some kids are "bad" and some are "good" even when they're in the same household, and if the parenting was exactly the same it would indicate something else about the environment caused that.

i wouldn't know i guess...i never had a good relationship with either of my parents :)

I think it's only part parents, part enviroment, and the other part is just personality. Just like animals there are different levels of personality which have nothing to do with parenting or enviroment. Docile, fiery, timid, adventurous. I think there can be "basic" traits set in the genes which parenting and enviroment then shape. Be über-strict with a docile child and they're going to buckle down and do what they're told. Be-über-strict with the fiery child and there are going to constant clashes and rebellions.

At the end of the day we are ALL individuals. Including (which I think we forget) our children. What might be right for one may not be right for another, and their basic temperament is going to shape them differently. The same upbringing for 2 siblings could very well end up with the upbringing not suiting the basic temperanment.

yeah that's true and nice umlaut usage :) also even if a specific trait isn't in the genes, a predisposition to it at least

Every generation since the word go thinks the last generation was better behaved. It's a media myth. There have always been and will always be kids who are assholes. Violent fascist cops aren't the answer, they're part of the problem. There should definately be consequences for anti-social behaviour but twatting someone's head on a car door or giving them a beating isn't the way to go about it - social acceptance of violent solutions to social problems will just encourage more violence.

REBEL - Respect to you for the umlaut.

Rebel...umlaut had to look that up to see what it meant  nice usage.

Daveydude I agree on the violence its not the answer for today's problems but I have to disagree on the each generation getting worse..

My sister in law works in a unit in our local high school for all the worst behaved kids in the school the ones the teachers cant control and they send them to her unit before excluding them from the school like last chance, and each year she says they are getting worse some of the horror stories she tells me you wouldn't believe. She says that its almost as each school year is trying to out do the previous of how bad they can be.

The way they get thought to them is they treat them more grownup more like adult than children, lots of other things too but it works not with all but a lot of them come out with qualifications that they would never have got.
