This is going to/already is revolutionise the video world (http://www.red.com/accessories/)

I hear its from around $2500 upwards and starts from semi pro to full blown proper director (Steven Soderbergh ) shit.

According to the site though it looks too pricey. especially an 8GB compact flash card for $160 !!!

but they are looking into different base units (brains) for the cheaper (our) end of the market.

Would take a lot for us to change from Sony, but this just might next time around

to be fair they have some new gear.

i would love one of those cameras.

bit out of my busdget, but if anyone shoots for dvd/blue-ray then i would think worth the investment.

Does anyone shoot specifically for DVD/blue ray ?

That would come at the encoding or "post production" stage, not the filming
