Video editing choices

I use Pinnacle 9+ and I'm bored with it as the titles it creates always look crap no matter what I do.. LOL

There's Adobe Premier which I've been told is more difficult to understand than Photoshop...

Final Cut looks as if it's just for Macs...

So what other choices are there that aren't silly prices and a bimbo like me could use :)

Have used premier for years so very used to it. Have had Premier Pro for a while and its even better
But i tried Sony's vegas 6 and it has some great titles and FX
and i am trying to change over gradually or use both for different things as i like the interface with HD on Vegas

If you want the best then its got to be AVID i just never got into it

Use Premier and Ulead video studio here.......... Premier is the best editor, and has good graphics... but u really need the pro version for the numerous plug ins....
Started editing with ulead and still find it produces by far and away the best quality wmv output files...... no hassle, just read the completed edited mpeg in and output it as wmv..

Like a lot of top end programs Pro gives you infinate control over WMV outputs now.

I output edited vids as capture quality avi's and then shove the avi's through windows movie maker. I do this because it gives me better quality than premier's wmv maker thingumyjig. That's not to say premier isn't far better - I'm just too much of a chimp to know how to use it properly I suspect :)

Sony vegas is sooo good. We used premiere at uni and I just thought it was a bit naff to be honest.

Vegas is easy once you figure out the basics and fast :)

I just downloaded the Vegas demo and tried to burn a disk and... After setting it up nothing happened :(

Also there are so many things you can do with it..My tired old brain just won't work.. Maybe thats why I still love IE 3.1 ... LOL
