At a shoot yesterday...one of the male models had a Lotus 340R See here (http://www.340r.net/)

Terrific car Only 340 ever made in the world... he changed the engine from a 190bhp Rover K-series to a mad Honda type R 2.0 tuned nutter thing. Spent a fortune and was his pride and joy..

anyway he left 5 mins before us and headed down A1...we left, hit a queue of traffic and saw a huge fireball ahead....rang him and asked if he had got past it........Yep you guessed it, the fire ball was his car...

Awwww man how would you feel. Hopefully no one got seriously hurt. Hope his insurance company don't try and squirm there way out of paying up ! due to some mod he did and didn't notify them (Insurance brokers scum of the earth)

No he was fine and nobody hurt thank God

He wouldn't be interested in a two year old Datsun Almera would he ? Sat Nav, Climate control, Silly parking sensors etc.. very rarely burst into flames since Datsun's are well known for holding damp lol

there might be kit sets out there, like all the Lotus Super7 stuff? obviously not the original, but still looking just as good.

No this wasnt available as a kit it was a Lotus built special based on the Elise and only 340 ever made
