Larry Flynt has asked for $5 billion to bailout the adult industry in the US.
Ben Dover may not be able to afford to turn the heating on for his swimming pool this summer.
Although some people look on both these pleas for help as publicity I actually think they have a point.Why should the bankers get billions for being greedy cunts and the adult industry not get any support? Tata got a loan, the Chancellor is about to propose a new loan guarantee for businesses but will any adult business get in the door of the banks to access the funds, probably not.
I do think the public should be made aware that the UK adult industry will suffer, to a certain extent, as other industries will during this recession.
Now as the thread titles states Porn Aid could make the public aware and not along the lines of Live Aid, because I don't know any superbands or the caretaker at the new Wembley!
I was thinking along the lines of something tongue in check. A site asking the UK porn buying public to help support their local porn site. Asking people to sign up, via email, to support the industry and having some of the Great British porn sites out there advertise on the site.
Thinking about it I could offer a free DVD downlaod to anybody that signs up.
Anydoby offering $1,$2 0r $3 sign ups could advertise.
