Ok, it's a little spammy but I only do it once a decade so don't beat me up...
We have just launched a 'mainstream' service but it's ideal for Escorts, Webmasters, Blogs, etc etc.
Loaf is a new and exciting mobile service! Basically, you register your free Loaf name and link it to your mobile number.
Then when you are out at a club, bar or just putting and advert online you give your Loaf name instead of your mobile number! It’s easy, safe and anonymous. When you want to stop getting texts from that person you just block them – simple!
Loaf is ideal for situations where you want people to contact you on your mobile BUT you don't want to give your mobile number.
Go to loaf.co.uk (http://www.loaf.co.uk)to get your free Loaf name before someone else gets it!

Is the 25p per message on top of the normal text charge or including it?

Ok, a few answers in one go!
If a name is searched for, it stays 'reserved' for an hour afterwards and then becomes available.... and no, not reserving any names so grab what you can!
The 25p is inclusive so no extra charges on top.... basically, its roughly twice a normal text for the user....
Entirely our baby, first conceived a few years ago but waited for the technology to catch up with the idea....
No, one name per number....BUT, you can change the number when you want....

Just thinking about this and wondered if there is a way to block people from sending you text?
I mean if you don't want them to have your number in case they keep texting you with shit, what is to stop them just keep sending you shit via your loaf "Nick" ?

Just send a text with: BLOCK (LOAF NAME) and they are blocked! Obviously, UNBLOCK (LOAF NAME) does quite the reverse.........

When I went to registar there was no FAQ's, although at the bottom it did say "Help" but it wasn't clickable :P
I will now go and have a bit of a look before I ask my next question :)

The only thing I dont like is you have to be a member to send a message to someone using this and, if you arent, you get a text asking you to sign up on a website which is a bit counterproductive I think.
I was thinking of using it as another way for customers to be able to text enquiries to me rather than email or calling but Im not so sure now if they have to be members as most will just not bother to sign up once they get the SMS back and I have potentially lost their interest. I know why you do it but that just my :twocents:

This is why I asked about blocking.
On the "what is loaf" page you say:
"In time, this site and the services offered from Loaf will evolve so stay in touch and make sure you read our Help & Support pages to understand how we work and how you can get the most from Loaf."
I think the "Help & Support" should be linked ;)

I think the site is probably more geared towards dating and social networking type sites really so people would be prepared to sign up so they could contact that gorgeous looking bird or bloke.
I mean look at facebook, they have a few people registered so I'm sure lots and lots of people would be prepared to register, and it is free so...
A short TV ad campaign should work wonders

eg if someone wants to send and recieve texts from site/model can they be charged more or can the model get a cut of the money?

We are working on an affiliate 'plugin' for it.... bear in mind that there's not a lot of kickback in a 25p text though..... The real beauty for models/escorts/swingers etc is being contactable but remaining anonymous and from their point of view its free to receive...

whiteloaf.eu is available, as is the BNP membership list (mostly with mobile numbers) if you have a look on Wikileaks - maybe an opportunity for a bit of SMS marketing?!

My 'already' should have read 'also', I thought I had changed it.
