Thank you for being a customer with Verotel Merchant Services. We would like to inform you about a system event that happened today between 12.15 and 15.25 Central European Time.
For about 3 hours Verotel was not able to process any type of transactions due to the failure of Internet connectivity. Our upstream ISP's experienced problems with their router equipment, which happened simultaneous with other Internet routing problems in the Netherlands.
Currently all problems are solved. The recurring transactions have not been affected and will be made normally.
We regret the inconvenience this event may have caused you.

- I thought is was good of them to mail me, when this happened and No chex they just ignored the calls and emails.

All they need to do now is offer a decent payment solution and they would be of some use :)

Do you say that because you make commision on selling their solution, or do you think they really have a decent enough payment solution to run a pay site with now?

I was using Verotel until recently and although I never had any problems with payments or customer service, I did feel it was a bit amateurish, the sign up pages I mean.
I finally moved to CCBill and they piss over Verotel for features and I have also noticed an increase in sign ups. I suppose CCBill is more well known so surfers are used to them and trust them.

Thats what I thought. Talk about memory lane. I havnt seen that for years, the reason I noticed it was when I started it seemed all the sites I was getting listed at or trading with used that script.
You could submit a gallery or pic to maybe 2000 sites and get listed quite easily.
I remember back before the year 2000 having a really good trade. I was on a free host prime adult or something, this trade was a guy from Italy and he sent me loads of traffic. He used the same script.
A few years later I remember him on GFY, he got ripped off for $60,000 from a UK dailer company and it was quite a big thread at the time.
He really helped me out at the time and sent me loads of traffic.

Yeah that was his gallery script, obviously, but if you had the gallery script you just added it to list then everyone submitting would get submitted to you and as a submitter you got submitted to all on the list.
I suppose it was the first semi auto submitter.

The people I have with them are doing fine and have no cmplaints, they are clearly behind on CCbill though they are two very different offerings.
Something Geezer said - I suppose CCBill is more well known so surfers are used to them and trust them. - There were people talking at the last show the oppisite to this -
ie surfers are seeing more and more ccbill pages so are starting to think its one big company running all the adult sites.

I have his old banner rotator script installed on one domain very basic but it works well and does the job.
Its a shame he closed up as he had some decent scripts.
