that is not entirely correct but just one form of AVS they have. the law requires 'face to face', so an online form and the data sent to you by registered mail is just as good. the fact that most postmen hand the papers over to whomever they know lives under that address renders the whole system rather pointless, as a teen who knows his father isn't going to be home during the week can still gain access.

As I say my understanding form German webmasters is the AV has to be done in person at the post office. German WM's also can not promote or resell gaming on any german soil, so WTF take trade show to a country that like the US is doing its best to rid the internet of porn or at the very least make it an embarrasing experience?

yeah be we are talking Germany here - they are efficient at everything and this drive is basically trying to push porn off the web. As a country they have quite liberal feelings towards sex. Just the web seems to be the issue with them.
