i think i was 6 when i first watched this film.

still one of my faves.

but do you remeber those peddle cars in the film. at the time i thought they were cool, and i still do.

i am amazed no ones bulds them as surly they would be cheap to make and zero cost to run.

if they sold them i would buy one.

well this is my idea for today.

They're cool but problems if they were ever produced and marketed (assuming an Urban purchase):

Too big for storage in most homes.. would need a garage spot.
Too big for driving on the sidewalks, would have to be driven on the streets.
Big also means heavy; They aren't actually driven purely by pedal power.

Cool none-the-less, though.

Top Damian Fact.

In 1983, I was in Bugsy Malone when it was in the West End at Her Majesty's Theatre on Haymarket. I was 11.

They had to make working pedal cars. The were fun to drive. More importantly, they had to make working splurge guns, cos in the film they fire ping pong balls and then cut to splurge being chucked on someone.

One for monopoly and one for golden delicious. I was 11.

I kept it up as a hobby, doing loads of amateur stuff (oo-er) and it was my degree etc. I stopped when I left college as I realised it was never going to pay the bills and I got a proper job.

I really wanted to go to stage school after doing Bugsy, but my parents (rightly) insisted I got a 'proper' education. They were right to do so.

So there you are.

Any other questions about my childhood?

I'm off to salsa now, so I won't be able to answer them till later.

what part was she in.

jodie was the oldest in the film if i remember, i think she was 16.

i still get wound up over that silly moo they chose for loosy brown or whatever she was called. she was terrible in it.

i still giggle when that anoying ginger girl comes in it. she is still anoying now (bonni lanford).

its funny to think that little micheal jackson is in it (i think he is the cleaner).

its odd how some of the main cast such as fat sam no longer are actors.
