But then again, New Labour have problems now as if Tony B does stand down, who do they replace him with. I say this as its not going to be easy if G Brown says sorry i messed up the economy, oh well, let me be priminister'.

G Brown has an age issue, but I dont see he has to say he messed up the economy. Has the UK ever had a better economy?

Interest rates low
Inflation ok
Productivity (the real test) high, infact higher than Germany!
Employment very high, infact never been higher

All that on the back of Japanese and US economic down turns, huge rising fuel costs (like we have never seen before) European countries at virtual economic stand still.

The country in the biggest boom since the war. What did he mess up in the economy?
