The fact that someone with such limited talent and personality can rise so far must give everyone hope.

Marilyn Manson (or is he an anti-hero)?!
only till he dies. about 5 years after that, he'll be rated as high as Frank Zappa suddenly was.
IMO MM is highly underrated as an artist (not saying musician, as this is only one part of his works) and when they shut the coffin everyone will have been his best friend ever all of a sudden.
I think they already have the Champagne on ice.
If I were the PM in waiting, I'd be more than a little concerned. Cameron's sudden rise bears so many similarities to the careers of Wilson and Blair it's uncanny. Whether or not he'll deliver rather more than those two remains to be seen, of course.

The problem is that none of them deliver anymore and the turnout for the next general election will once again be the lowest ever recorded.
Marilyn Manson (or is he an anti-hero)?!
I heard him sing on the "Wossy" show a few weeks back and he sounded a bit like someone with a hearing disability trying to order a Kebab after 15 pints of lager.

I have few heroes, I don't like to idolise anyone in the public eye cos it's usually all spin & PR.
As a kid my hero was Chrispoher Reeve - I had to start wearing glasses at age 8 which I wasn't best pleased about until my mum pointed out that Clark Kent wore specs, so if they were good enough for Superman they were good enough for me :D

Superman didn't wear glasses, nerdy Clarke Kent did. Still I suppose you were only 8 and your mum gave it a go :lmao2:
As for heros, NONE!

Actually when I was about the same age I too had to wear glasses, but I had to have a patch over one to try and make the other work harder. I looked like a proper wally.
I had those NHS tortouse shell thingies with the wire that went round the ears, I use to stamp on them, drop them from the top floor of the school but nothing would break them.
Eventually my mum paid for a half decent pair hoping I would wear them, but I never did really.
I only have 20% vision in my right eye so I could have worn glasses every day since then and it would still be the same. if I ever lost the site in my left eye I would be fucked

Indeed, that is correct. Perhaps DVT is thinking of ex Marillion front man Fish, whose real name is Derrick Dick (which is OK for a porn stud, but not perhaps as saleable for a prog rock man, hence the pseudonym) :coffee:

Are you allowed to drive with 20% vision in one eye?

And of course you would find the answer to your question about how blind people know when they've finished wiping...
Are you allowed to drive with 20% vision in one eye?
Judging by the standard of driving around these parts, yes.
Yikes. Still, you might qualify for a disabled parking badge ;)
Are you allowed to drive with 20% vision in one eye?
I can see perfectly well, unless I close my left eye :)
I went to a thing with my son and they had the people from the advanced driving wassname. They had some test for your eyes, you looked through a device so you was looking through two different lenses. They than asked questions about what you could see, how many signs or what colour is the thing on the right. I couldn't see half of it cos of the way the machine works. The woman asked if I drive and when i said yeah she nearly fell over, she said I should get my eyes tested as there is something very wrong. I then explained it's been like it all my life.
It always made people look a bit puzzled when they knew I was a photographer and I tell them about only having 20% in one eye.
Oh and one other thing, I have to fire a rifle left handed.
And of course you would find the answer to your question about how blind people know when they've finished wiping...
